- Brother Furnace
This Nitrogen Atmosphere Muffle Furnace is designed for high-temperature heat treatment under a controlled nitrogen protective atmosphere. Before heating, the furnace chamber can be evacuated to remove residual air and reduce oxygen content. High-purity nitrogen is then introduced to create an oxygen-reduced environment, helping prevent oxidation, unwanted chemical reactions, and surface contamination during thermal processing.
With a sealed furnace chamber, reliable gas protection, and precise temperature control, this furnace is ideal for materials that require a stable nitrogen atmosphere during heating, annealing, sintering, and other thermal treatments. It is widely used in materials research, powder metallurgy, ceramic processing, semiconductor-related materials, and laboratory-scale production.
Features
Maximum temperature options:
1200°C – HRE Fe-Cr-Al-Mo wire heating elements
1400°C – SiC heating elements
1700°C – MoSi2 heating elements
Nitrogen atmosphere protection: Supports controlled nitrogen purging and continuous gas supply to minimize oxygen exposure and protect oxidation-sensitive materials.
Vacuum pre-treatment: The furnace chamber can be evacuated before nitrogen filling to reduce residual oxygen and improve atmosphere purity.
Excellent thermal insulation: Constructed with high-purity alumina polycrystalline fiber insulation, providing uniform temperature distribution and a clean heating environment.
Sealed furnace chamber: Double-layer reinforced steel housing designed for reliable gas sealing, with a maximum vacuum level of approximately -0.08 MPa.
Precise temperature control: Equipped with an industrial-grade intelligent temperature controller, PID adjustment, and 50-segment programmable heating profiles.
Reliable door sealing: The furnace door features four handwheel locking mechanisms and a high-temperature-resistant silicone sealing ring to minimize gas leakage.
Optional automatic gas mixing system: Allows different gas mixtures to be introduced according to specific process requirements.

Typical Applications
The Nitrogen Atmosphere Muffle Furnace is suitable for thermal processing of materials that require oxidation protection or a controlled nitrogen environment, including:
Powder Metallurgy: Heat treatment and sintering of metal powders and components under nitrogen protection.
Ceramic Processing: Thermal treatment of silicon nitride and other advanced ceramic materials where controlled atmospheres are required.
Semiconductor Materials: Heat treatment of selected semiconductor-related materials and components in a low-oxygen environment.
Metal Annealing: Annealing and stress-relief treatment of oxidation-sensitive metal materials.
Advanced Materials Research: Laboratory studies involving thermal reactions, material phase transformations, and controlled-atmosphere processing.
Standard Accessories
Rotary vane vacuum pump
High-temperature protective gloves
Material handling tongs
Operation manual
Furnace door refractory components (depending on model)
Two spare heating elements (depending on model)
Note: Nitrogen is primarily used as a protective atmosphere. Its suitability depends on the material and processing temperature, as some materials may react with nitrogen at elevated temperatures. For processes requiring precise atmosphere purity, nitrogen flow, gas pressure, and residual oxygen levels should be properly controlled.
